Stage and Studio Musician
A seasoned veteran of both the stage and studio, Elkins, WV native Brad Gum has been playing guitar professionally for over 30 years. Brad picked up the instrument at a very early age and actually finished high school while touring the country with Johnny Russell and The Heckels in the 1970s. Brad's talent spans a wide range of musical styles. While he started out in the country world, he dazzled area guitarists with his rock licks playing with West Virginia based Amorphous during the late '70s and early '80s. Brad's talents cover the full range of guitar styles from lead to rhythm and even pedal steel guitar.
Regionally, Brad has played with Holly Garber, Mixed Company, Joey Davis and several other West Virginia based acts over the years. Nationally, Brad has worked with TNN regular Johnny Russell who wrote "Act Naturally" (a million seller for the Beatles and Buck Owens) and who did "Red Necks, White Socks & Blue Ribbon Beer." Brad has also performed as the house guitarist at Dollywood where he has played with Dolly Parton and many of Nashville's best known stars. He has opened for The Judds, and worked for several years with former Statler Brother Lew DeWitt (who wrote and sang the Statler Brothers big hit "Flowers on the Wall").
Currently Brad plays at the newly opened American Mountain Theater in Elkins WV. He continues to own Music City in Elkins, which he has operated for many, many years.

As co-owner of the Florida-based McQuain & Associates, Inc., Elkins, WV native Mike McQuain has 15+ years of technical experience in applications development, desktop publishing, computer graphics design, software training, system/database administration, and audio/video production.
Mike’s applications development experience includes the creation of a fully integrated online human support system database application for 550+ users and several online competency profiling/performance management tools. He has also developed a client/policy tracking database for insurance, order processing/accounting software for manufacturing, auction inventory and accounting databases, and computer-based survey instruments. Mike also serves as the Webmaster for McQuain & Associates, Inc. (http://www.mcquain.com) and has experience creating several Internet web sites.
Additionally, Mike served as the systems administrator for all online HR/Training systems for Salomon Brothers’ entire Florida-based operations facility. His responsibilities included providing technical support for the company’s PC and Unix computer training labs and multimedia training delivery systems. Later, Mike worked in the company’s application development area and was involved in the creation of several trade processing database systems.
Mike has several years of training experience as a computer software instructor for a variety of PC, Unix and Macintosh desktop applications including all of the Microsoft Office products. He has experience in all aspects of training, including design/development, delivery, production and administration.
Mike is a graduate of Davis and Elkins College with a BA in Audio Recording and Production and a minor in Business Administration. In addition, he has completed coursework on a variety of software and programming subjects including HTML, SQL, Unix, and Microsoft Access and Visual Basic. Mike also holds both a FCC Radio Operator’s license and a West Virginia Auctioneer’s license. For several years during the 1980s Mike worked as an auctioneer and week-end disc jockey in the Elkins, WV area. In addition, during the early 90s Mike could be heard on the radio on North Carolina's Outer Banks before moving to Florida.
