The November luncheon was held at the local Odd Fellows Lodge on the Beverly 5-lane and was catered by the Elkins Cancer Support Group. The event held special meaning for many Elkins Purple Majesties members as several are cancer survivors -- and most all know someone who has been affected by this disease. Proceeds from the luncheon benefited the cancer support group and the meal was one of our best yet!

Our first Queen Mother, Lyla Howell, was surprised with a royal red robe and a crown prior to the festivities. As the afternoon ended, she officially passed the regal garments to our new Queen Mother, JoAnn Koenig.
