The quaint and historic Cardinal Inn located in Huttonsville WV was the site for our very special May 2004 luncheon. In honor of Mother's Day, many Elkins Purple Majesties members brought along their granddaughters, nieces, and others as special guests.

The wrap-around porch of this 1901 Queen Anne home was the perfect setting for a relaxing meal on a warm spring day. Views of the surrounding mountains and valley put everyone at ease.

Each of our special guests received a pink or lavender purse especially made for the occasion. We welcomed our 100th, 101st, and 102nd chapter members and Judy Jack officially began her reign as new Queen Mother.

Sharon (left) showed us all how to kicked back and relax in style. Another hot topic of the day -- the rash of red bra purses showing up on the arms of many a member. (You can see Sharon holding hers.) Seems these racy little numbers are becoming the must-have accessory for the group, not to mention the talk-of-the-town.

With so much fun had, there is no doubt that our special guests are destined to be future Red Hatters!
