YaYa Tea
Elkins WV ** May 28, 2005

A recent sunny Saturday afternoon was the perfect day to have a tea -- so that's exactly what pink hatter Barbara did for her real mother, Queen Sharon, and Sharon's three YaYa sisters, Judy Jack, Gerri Rosencrance and Charlotte Thomas. The origins of the ELKINS PURPLE MAJESTIES can be traced to these four close friends. To read more about their history go here.

The table was set with a red lace tablecloth, vintage green and clear depression glass, plus wedding silver from Sharon's personal collection. A red hat teapot and saucers were also used by the special ladies. Fresh cut peonies and votive candles completed the elaborate arrangement.

Fresh fruit salad with dip, vegetable slices, and cheese and crackers were served along with cucumber, crab, and chicken salad sandwiches. A variety of flavored teas were offered and dessert included chocolate truffles and a variety of scrumptious cheesecakes. The afternoon was filled with laughter, stories, a few silly faces, and lots of friendship. Everyone hopes to do it again SOON!
