Happy faces and bright smiles filled the Baptist Church in August as the Elkins Purple Majesties welcomed over 40 guests to its monthly luncheon. Duchess Norma Fitzwater played host to our biggest event yet that included a variety of children, grandchildren, neighbors and special friends of EPM members.

Local pianist Virginia Rinehart treated everyone to an array of music as they arrived. Later, the whole group made their own music as they hummed on their kazoos, the official musical instrument of the Red Hat Society.

As guests mingled, a wide mixture of pink and lavender, along with the traditional red and purple, could be seen. WHAT A SIGHT!! Young girls beamed with delight as they enjoyed their special day out.

Many local businesses helped make the day extra special by donating favors and door prizes for our big shindig. After dining on roast pork, mashed potatoes, green beans, tossed salad and delicious strawberry shortcake, each guest was presented with a canvas Red Hat bag filled with goodies to make the day complete. We certainly enjoyed meeting everyone and can't wait to do it all again!

~ A BIG THANK YOU! ~
to all of the following who graciously donated items.
You helped make our day a great success!
