A
cool breeze (and a few hula dancers!) blew thru Duke's Steakhouse in
August as the Elkins Purple Majesties held a tropical Hawaiian luau. Grass
skirts, moo-moos, leis, and more than a few floral prints were all the rage!
Red hat members swiveled their hips as they learned to hula dance and several ladies took turns showing off their hula hoop skills. (Who says we don't still have it?!?)
It was nice to relax under the umbrellas and hear the sound of the ocean - even if we didn't quite make it to any sandy shores. At least we avoided the sunburn. The only thing missing was the cute cabana boys. Guess we will just have to make another trip.
