The elves worked extra hard
this year and sent Santa down to our party with a sleigh full of presents.
How nice to get something other than coal this year! Everyone was dazzled by
the pretty packages and delighted with the wide array of gifts they
unwrapped.
The newly opened RailYard
Restaurant in downtown Elkins, near the train depot, played host for the
evening. Everyone dined on a traditional turkey and all-the-trimmings
dinner. It was delicious and I know no one went away hungry. What a great
way to wrap up a wonderful year full of fun and friends!

Santa came a few days early
for good little Red Hatters at our December holiday dinner! We really
appreciated him taking time out of his busy holiday schedule to visit us.
His jolly old laugh really livened up the night. He must have been in quite
a rush, however, to make it all the way from the North Pole to Elkins
because he forgot his red pants and showed up in his Red Hat bloomers
instead! I wonder if Mrs. Claus knows he borrowed her purple boa and gloves
to complete his outfit?
Linda
Lee entertained us once again with her beautiful voice. We sang
Christmas Carols (at least the versus we remembered!) and had a
wonderful time just laughing and spending time with our friends.
