On a bright, sunny day Elkins Purple Majesties returned to Scott Hill to kick off fall. With the change of seasons comes the need for a new purse - so the chapter held a lively PURSE EXCHANGE among its members.

The former owner of the Scott Hill (matriarch of the Smith family) was very active in the local Mountain State Forest Festival. It was a real treat for the ladies to be able to look at old coronation outfits and photos from bygone days. True to form, Dowager Queen Sharon knew many people in the photos and delighted in telling others a little history of Elkins' past.

The photographer from The Inter-Mountain newspaper took our picture once again. Hopefully members took time to smell the lovely roses that were in bloom outside. A wonderful day to spend at such a historic home.
