1950s Party - Steer Steakhouse

Did you hear the shake, rattle, and roll in Elkins on November 8th? That was the Elkins Purple Majesties ladies swooning as Elvis entered the building for their monthly luncheon. Yes, poodle skirts, bobby socks, saddle shoes, penny loafers and a letterman's jacket - plus Lucille Ball and the King himself all showed up to party!

And party we did!! The theme was great, the decor fit perfectly, and the music took us back. Elvis knocked our socks off when he said "the 50s were 60 years ago". Yikes how the time flies when we are having such fun in our golden years. 

It was wonderful seeing DQM Wanda on her feet (or should we say foot) again too. Everyone looked fabulous and we can't wait to stroll down memory lane again sometime soon. Maybe we should go cruisin' come July 4th when they have the car show in the Elkins City Park? We would turn quite a few heads. LOL.
