(VICE QUEEN NAME), in the presence of your Red Hat sisters do you solemnly 
swear on your hat that you will do your best to uphold the spirit of the Red Hat 
Society?

Will you greet middle age with verve, humor and élan?

Will you take your silliness seriously acknowledging that it's the comic relief of life?

Will you join, in the spirit of Friendship and Sisterhood, your Red and Pink Hatted 
sisters as we boogie forth together -- bonded affectionately by a common been 
there, done that -- and meet with real enthusiasm whatever comes next?

Do you promise to learn to spit and sit on the pavement?

Do you promise to regularly practice having fun?

Do you promise to dispel the notion that Women our age are OLD?

Whereas, (VICE QUEEN NAME) has pledged herself to the ideals of the Red Hat 
Society, I Queen (QUEEN MOTHER NAME) of the (CHAPTER NAME) chapter of 
the Red Hat Society, by virtue of the authority vested in me, do hereby proclaim and 
create her Vice Queen or Queen of Vice ---long may she reign.
