McQuain Advertising and Auctions has a broad background in estate and liquidation auctions. For over 25 years we have serviced the Elkins, West Virginia and surrounding area. 

Paul McQuain, the owner and founder of McQuain Advertising and Auctions, was a licensed West Virginia Auctioneer and Real Estate Broker. A family business, McQuain Advertising and Auctions specialized in liquidating both personal and real property. Following the death of Mr. McQuain in 1999, McQuain Advertising and Auctions became more specialized. Today we focus on internet auctioning and promoting West Virginia thru the World Wide Web.

Our internet auctions are regularly listed on eBay. We have sold automobiles, toys, dolls, glassware, jewelry, tools, and books. We routinely sell a large variety of small collectibles as well -- including, but not limited to, paper/ephemera, advertising, Christmas, household, military, historical, and other items. The amount of merchandise we see and sell at internet auction is ever growing!

We also handle consignment sales. If you have a LARGE TICKET ITEM you would like to sell at internet auction (such as an antique car or other high value item), please contact us. We can also be of service in the liquidation of large estates or collections.

Through our West Virginia Auctions & Antiques and Mountain Edge websites we are committed to promoting the local and state area. We place a strong emphasis on building a regional auction, antique, and collectible community -- as well as a West Virginia network of people, places, and things.

Our WVAA website offers free auction listings to W.Va. auctioneers as well as general collectors and antiques shops. We share auction tips, a price guide, and collectible news. Visitors have access to a list of auction sale dates as well as auctioneer contact information.

At Mountain Edge, our growing list of W.Va. related links spans a variety of categories. Any business, professional, or individual is welcome to add their listing. Additionally, we have a coming events calendar, trading post, people profiles section, and photo gallery.
