Amusement Parks were one of the first to introduce theme decorating in a big way, using it as a means to attract customer interest. Now theme decorating has spread to restaurants, stores, motels, and even homes -- and for good financial and business reasons. For example, while the equipment and fixtures of a restaurant may depreciate over time, often the collectible quality of the theme decorations rise in value, thus the appreciation of the theme decor offsets the depreciation of the equipment and fixtures.
